Red Funnel. Twelve years of making an entrance.
An ongoing production partnership spanning more than 12 years. Our team delivers changing large-format gateway graphics, specialist access and installations at Southampton's working waterfront several times each year.
Founded in 1861, Red Funnel is the original Isle of Wight ferry operator, connecting Southampton with East Cowes and West Cowes. The cross-Solent service carries approximately 2.3 million passengers and more than 800,000 vehicles each year — a highly visible, hard-working environment for the graphics our team produces and installs.
THE RELATIONSHIP

The same gateway is transformed throughout the year for different campaigns. Our team manages the complete process — print production, specialist access, installation, RAMS and project coordination — around the demands of a working port.
From Isle of Wight Adventures to Isle of Wight Festival, each campaign gives this landmark entrance a new identity. The photographs also show the underlying structure before the next graphics are installed.

THE PRODUCTION CHALLENGE
A busy port is not an ordinary installation site.
The sheer scale of the gateway, its exposed seafront position and the demands of a busy operational port make this a technically challenging installation. Each campaign requires careful planning of specialist access, installation methods, risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), alongside production and coordination with the working environment.
The continuing relationship reflects more than a decade of practical knowledge of the structure, its site constraints and the complete production-to-installation process. The team takes responsibility for delivery rather than supplying printed graphics alone.
